Our Babies Are Gone
No more daily cleaning of their litter box.
No more wondering just where they put my socks.

No more hoping the Christmas tree doesn't fall.
No more tripping over their favorite ball.

No more taking pictures of their sweet little faces.
No more finding them in all the wrong places.

They've been part of our lives for 77 days.
We're used to their voices, their antics, their ways.

The babies are all gone to make the holidays sweet
For families far and wide--they're sure to be a treat.

We're a little bit lonesome and somewhat forlorn
--At least until Sophia's babies are born.
